Greetings to all!
We wanted to give you a bit of an update after all the rain we had a few weeks back. Things have dried out some. The trail is back to normal, but our car is still trapped at the end of the road. The good news is that a tractor IS working on the road and making progress every day. I expect it will still be another three to five weeks before we can drive our car out though!

We ran out of propane the day before all the rain and landslides fell, and we are still without. We have since learned the tricks of cooking on our 55 gallon drum wood stove, and how to build a fire with wet wood! We are looking forward to a trip in a couple of weeks with horses to bring back our supplies we bought and stored in Lita as well as some full propane tanks. Altho I can’t say we suffered too bad, other than a few late meals waiting for the stove to heat up.

Our neighbor Milton’s house was very close to some land slides. Please pray for them to have wisdom as he is wanting to move his house (not that strange for the Awa people to move their house every couple of years). The big problem is that he doesn’t have a lot of good places on his land, but I think the family is a bit scared to live there. We haven’t seen or heard of any other houses that are in quite as precarious location as his. In all this Milton is a joy to be around as he continually sees God’s hand in all of life’s circumstances. Praise the Lord for the work He is doing here.
